    • Thanks Steven. Glad you’re enjoying Brian’s bookkeeping spreadsheet. You’re welcome. You should be able to utilize it fully already since the password is not required in any way to use it. Was there something in particular that was wrong that you needed me to tell Brian about? To specifically address the password to be able to modify the spreadsheet… we lock it down so that non-expert Excel users don’t accidentally change/alter the formulas. Expert Excel users already know how to circumvent the password and so don’t even need the password at all to modify it. Let me know if there was something in particular that needs addressing.

  2. Hi James,
For me, the password is needed to expand the Columns on the Property report tab so that the larger totals can be viewed rather than “####”.
    Thanks!

  3. Hi
I just came across your website looking for a bookkeeping spreadsheet for real estate investing. I really enjoy the spreadsheet you created and watched the video presentation on how to utilize that spreadsheet. I was curious regarding expenses, where would you record expenses for fee-based items such as a dropbox account or Microsoft office. If there isn’t a specific category, can I add one in the drop-down lists and have it imported into the property. I believe I need a password to access this Excel sheet to make that modification if that is the case. I also would like to possibly import a feature to create a pie chart on the property tab, so having access would be great for this spreadsheet.
