The following is a list of class topics and whether I make them available to the public, just clients (or some other restriction like an email address) or to make them paid.
For the Real Estate Financial Planner™ Brokerage Services business, I like to break it down into Pre-Client, Likely Post-Sale (with some exceptions) and Definitely Post-Sale (no exceptions). I believe we should treat everyone kindly, generously and with respect but that you can definitely be kinder and more generous to subsets.
For example, you should do more and add more value to people that have hired you than to people that are considering hiring you. But further, you should do more and add more value to people that have bought multiple properties with you than people that have just bought one.
Pre-Client Classes
These are classes that we typically teach to the public and include our website and podcast as a marketing tool to attract and educate clients.

Likely Post-Sale Classes
These are classes that we typically reserve, lock down and make only available to clients that have bought or sold a property with us. However, there are some unusual circumstances where a client should be granted access these in advance of buying or selling a property.
For example, let’s say they are a new client but they are converting their previous home they bought with another agent to a rental. We should probably give them access to some of our tenant screening and property management content to help them convert it to a rental so they can buy the next property with us. But normally, we would not give access to our property management content to the general public.

These are classes that we never give access to the recordings unless they’ve bought or sold a property with us. Think of these are bonuses for clients that are paying the bills.
